Creds to BBC good food for the amazing recipe. Make sure to check out their website for more delicious recipes.Make sure to send me a picture of the cookies if you make them at : . • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups (about 12 ounces) semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda; set aside. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the butter with both sugars; beat on medium speed until light and fluffy. Reduce speed to low; add the salt, vanilla, and eggs. Beat until well mixed, about 1 minute. Add flour mixture; mix until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.

Drop heaping tablespoon-size balls of dough about 2 inches apart on baking sheets lined with parchment paper.

Bake until cookies are golden around the edges, but still soft in the center, 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from oven, and let cool on baking sheet 1 to 2 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack, and let cool completely. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature up to 1 week.
Have fun making the cookies...

10 beauty myths we all fall for :)

Hiii guys we’re all suckers for a good lip balm or mascara, but we also tend to be suckers for the wild beauty myths that run rampant throughout our lives. We hear about them on Twitter, from our moms and through the media, but some beauty myths are just that: Myths. Here, we break down 10 beauty myths we all fall for, and why you should think twice the next time you take on a myth as a rule.
Hope you enjoy this blog post

1. Shaving will make your body hair grow back thicker. While you may think that your hair grows back thicker each time you shave, this is not the case. Much to our pleasant surprise, the hair just appears shorter and a bit more stubbly, making it seem thicker than it really is in between shaves.

2. Pumping your mascara brush makes for better application. Although you think you’re picking up more product, more air is being let into the mascara tube, making your mascara dry out sooner than it should. This leads to dry, flaky lashes and bacteria in the mascara tube. Instead, swirl the mascara wand inside the tube to pick up more product.

3. If you only use hot tools on your hair once in a while, you don’t need heat protectant spray.  During the summer, we have more reservations than usual about using heat styling tools on our hair. Regardless of how often you use heat styling tools on your hair, you should be using a heat protectant spray each time.

4. There’s no way to prevent yellowing nails. While we know that consistently painting nails can eventually lead them to a yellow tint, there are a few ways to prevent and treat them. First, be sure to use a base coat before applying colored nail polish. Next, choose a top coat with UVA/UVB protection, helping to shield your nails from the sun. Also, use baking soda as a secret weapon to bring your nails back to life after heavy application of polish and when a yellow tint begins to appear.

5. Once your blush shatters after dropping it, it’s done. Hang on to that shattered makeup, ladies. All you need to do is pour rubbing alcohol into the broken compact or container and gently mix until the makeup turns to a clay consistency. Wait for the product to dry and you are set with makeup that’s good as new!

6. Wearing makeup everyday is bad for your skin. While wearing tons of makeup can be cumbersome for the skin on your face, wearing makeup consistently won’t actually make your skin worse. Granted, a day with no makeup feels great, but the real culprit of skin damage is not consistently washing your makeup off (this means leaving makeup on overnight).

7. Your shampoo familiarizes itself to your hair and no longer performs. While it’s great to change up the hair products you use every once in a while, it’s not absolutely necessary. If your hair is feeling flat, dry or damaged after continued use of one specific shampoo, don’t blame the shampoo! Usually, the problem is due to product build up from hairsprays, serums, oils and more. If this happens, try a clarifying shampoo once per week and continue on with your regularly scheduled shampooing.

8. Certain hair products can eliminate split ends. While they are inevitable, we cannot eliminate them completely. Oils and serums are notorious for improving the situation that we call split ends, but the real remedy for split ends is a haircut.

9. Filing your nails can be done in any directly.  Always file your nails in the same direction, allowing your nails to grow faster and longer. Filing from both directions on one nail can lead to breakage and peeling.

10. There’s no way to avoid getting lipstick on your teeth. Before you run out the door and start your day, there’s one trick that you’ll never be able to do without. Make an “O” shape with your mouth, and stick your pointer finger directly in the middle of the “O,” then pull out. The lipstick on the inside of your lips will come off on your finger, leaving your teeth free from lipstick’s harm.

Diy no tools nail art ♥

Dry Brush Manicure

Hii guys today I have a super simple nail art technique for you. It’s one of those techniques that make all your friends think you spent ages and ages on your nails. It’s called a dry-brush manicure and the best part is there are no special tools required (besides nail polish of course!). Let’s get started shall we?
P.s this nail technique and the pictures were taken from Cute Girls Hairstyles make sure to check them out.

Here are the products I used for this manicure:

Dry Brush Manicure
Base Coat, Top Coat, White Polish

Nail polish in 3-4 colours of your choice (I chose these spring colours!)

DIY Manicure | Spring
Sinful Colours Truth or Lavendare, Island Coral, V.I.Peach
And that’s it!

 On to the how-to:

Step 1: Paint your nails with your base coat (always use a base coat to protect your nails, prevent staining, and help your manicure last its longest),  allow to dry.

Step 2: Paint your nails 1-2 coats of a plain white polish and allow to dry. It doesn’t have to be perfect since you will be covering most of it up. The white base will also make the other polish colours really pop.

DIY Manicure | White

Step 3: Open one of the polish bottles (I started with the lightest colour because lighter colours are easier to cover than darker colours). Scrape off as much of the polish as you can, either onto the side of the polish neck like I’m doing, or onto a paper towel. You want the brush almost completely dry. You can always add more colour as needed.

Dry Brush Nail Art

Step 4: Gently brush your almost-dry polish brush over your nails both horizontally and vertically. Keep going until you get the effect you like. Allow polish to dry completely on nail (this won’t take long).

Dry-Brush Nail Art

Step 5: Repeat step 3 with the second colour (and then the third). Remember there is no right or wrong way to do this! You can keep adding polish until you get exactly what you are looking for.

Step 6: Apply a quick dry top coat to help blend all the colours together and seal in your design. And that’s that!!! An eye-catching manicure that took a minimal amount of time!

Easy Manicure
The nice thing about this manicure is you can do any color combo. Last month I even did one with a black polish base and metallic polishes dry-brushed on top.

Diy lip scrub

Hii guys so far this winter my lips have been getting really chapped and flakey. I have tried loads of different remedies and this is the one I liked the most 😊
so lets get into it...

Exfoliation is the 1st (and critical) step in fighting chapped lips! Exfoliating your lips twice a week will help rid of dead skin cells leaving lips soft and smooth, which allows moisture (aka lip balms) to penetrate your lips! In other words, exfoliation not only help soften your lips, it also helps your lip balm to work better!
So, if you’re experiencing dry, flaky, and chapped lips this winter… use this super easy recipe to make your very own Sugar Honey Lip Scrub. Your lips will thank you! Best part is that you probably have all the ingredients at home already, so get started now!

What you’ll need:
•Sugar: 1 tablespoon
•Honey: 1 tablespoon
•Olive Oil: 1 teaspoon
•Vaseline or Shea Butter: 1 teaspoon (Coconut oil and jojoba oil are also good alternatives)
•1 small container

1.Mix 1 tablespoon of honey with 1 tablespoon of sugar together.
2.Add 1 teaspoon of olive oil and mix well.
3.Add 1 teaspoon of Vaseline or softened shea butter and mix well.
 * If shea butter is not soft, soften by warming or use a spoon to whip/beat the shea butter before adding to the lip scrub mixture.
4.Spoon into a container and use within 1-2 weeks.
How to use:
•Take a dime size amount of scrub and rub gently onto dry lips.
•Gently rub until some of the sugar has dissolved.
•Rinse well with warm water.
•Add your favourite lip balm?
•Use twice a week and your lips will be silky soft.

Nail polish bottle dried shut? Secure a rubber band around the cap to help you get a better grip while twisting it open.

Use your straightening iron to press collars and shirt cuffs without having to drag out the ironing board.

Ran out of shaving cream? Hair conditioner will work in a pinch. It gives skin a similar slippery feel and leaves legs super soft.

To avoid running late in the morning, make a playlist that runs exactly as long as you have to get out the door. Challenge yourself to finish by the last song.

Paint a bobby pin with nail polish to create an instant statement hair accessory.

Use bobby pins to help squeeze all the product out of a tube of toothpaste, lotion or sunscreen.

If you need to add a key to your key ring but don’t want to chip your nail polish, use a staple remover to hold it open.

Mix brown sugar, olive oil and honey to create a nourishing DIY lip scrub.

Use antiperspirant on your feet to prevent blisters. Just swipe a bit on where your shoe rubs your foot. This will help reduce friction and keep the area dry.

To fix a broken lipstick, use a lighter to heat up the part that’s still in the tube, then press the broken end back on top. Heat up the seam with your lighter to make a seal. Let the lipstick cool in the refrigerator for 15-30 minutes.

Anxiety-how to deal with it...

Hey guys this is quite an unusual post for me to do but I wanted to tell you guys about anxiety. I suffer from anxiety but a low key version some people have it way worse than me, but I just felt that I had to inform you guys about it so that you became more aware:) Lots of other people have done blog posts about anxiety, and that's what inspired me to tell you guys more. There will be links down bellow for their blog posts if you want to check them out :)

What is anxiety?
Anxiety is an unpleasant feeling that we all experience at times. It is a word often used to when we feel 'uptight', 'irritable', 'nervous', 'tense', or 'wound up'. When we are anxious we normally experience a variety of uncomfortable physical sensations.
These include:
  • Increased heart rate
  • Muscular tension
  • Sweating
  • Trembling
  • Feelings of breathlessness
  • As well as this, anxiety affects us mentally too. For example, when anxious, we often worry for large periods of time, so much so that our worry can feel out of control. These worries are often about a variety of issues and commonly our mind jumps quickly from one worry to another.
Anxiety also influences how we behave. For instance, when we feel anxious, we often avoid doing things that we want to because we are worried about how they will turn out. Although short experiences of anxiety are part and parcel of daily life, it becomes challenging when anxiety begins to follow people around and is a regular feature in their lives.

    What causes anxiety?

    Life Events:
Often we develop anxiety following a series of stressful life events. This is especially true if we experience many different pressures all at once. For example, if someone has work pressures, financial difficulties, and relationship problems, all at the same time, it is perhaps unsurprising that they become anxious. When thinking about it in this way, anxiety is often the result of feeling as though we cannot cope with the demands placed upon us. In addition, people can learn to be anxious based on their life experiences. For example, if someone has faced workplace bullying in the past, they may be more likely to suffer anxiety when beginning a new job.
    Thinking Styles:
Some people may have a thinking style that lends itself to experiencing anxiety. For example, anxious people have a tendency to expect that the worst possible scenario will always occur. They also feel like they must constantly be on guard in case something bad happens. They believe that by thinking about all the things that could go wrong, they will be better prepared to cope if it happens. However thinking in these ways mean they are on regular alert and find it difficult to relax and 'switch off'.
    Evolutionary Reasons:
We also experience anxiety because of its evolutionary benefits. Put another way, although anxiety is largely an unpleasant experience, it also has positive benefits that have been useful to humans over the centuries. For example, when we are under threat or feel in danger (e.g. hear a burglar), we automatically become anxious. As a result, our heart beats more quickly which supplies blood to our muscles (which helps us run away from or fight the burglar); we sweat (which cools us down during this process); and our breathing changes (which ensures oxygen is delivered to our muscles quickly again preparing us for a quick response). When looking at anxiety in this way, you can quickly see how it can be very useful in certain situations.
    Biological Reasons:
It has also been suggested that anxiety has familial ties. In other words, if someone in your immediate family is an anxious person, there is an increased chance that you will have similar personality traits.
In reality it is likely that a combination of all these factors influence someone's anxiety levels. However, in some ways it is less important to know what causes anxiety, and more important to know what stops us overcoming it.

    What keeps our anxiety going?

Some people have a style of thinking which lends itself to experiencing anxiety. For example, it  appears that some people are more likely to overestimate the likelihood of bad things happening than others. It is easy to see how regularly presuming the worst in this way would make someone feel anxious. Unfortunately, when we do feel anxious, we become even less likely to think as clearly as we would like and a vicious cycle occurs.
Anxious people also sometimes believe that worrying has a protective function. More specifically, they believe that being on the 'look out' for danger can help them to recognise and avoid it. Unfortunately, when searching for danger in this way, they soon begin seeing potential danger in many relatively safe situations which of course makes them feel anxious. They may also believe that by considering everything that could go wrong; they will be better prepared to cope when it does. However, often these beliefs mean a lot of extra time is spent worrying than is necessary, as many of our worries never come true. Of course, the more time we spend worrying, the more anxious we feel. Another way someone's thinking style can keep their anxiety going is because they become 'worried about worrying'. Here, people tend to worry that they are doing harm to themselves (e.g. going mad) by worrying so often (which is not the case) and a vicious cycle occurs. Similarly, people often worry about the physical symptoms they experience when they are anxious (e.g. breathlessness, rapid heart rate etc). Unfortunately, worrying about these symptoms (which are perfectly safe and natural bodily reactions), only makes them feel worse, again creating a vicious cycle of anxiety. One other important factor that can keep people's anxiety going is that they often change their behaviour as a result of their anxiety. For example, they may avoid going to a party because they have spotted many potential 'dangers' (e.g. what if no one likes me). Similarly, they may put off completing an assignment because they worry about it being negatively evaluated. Unfortunately because people tend to use such avoidance strategies, they can never see that things would often go better than they thought and their anxiety remains as a result. Not having enough free time to relax and do the things we enjoy we can also contribute to our higher anxiety levels. On the other hand, having too much free time can mean we have lots of opportunities to engage in worry and feel anxious.

To deal with anxiety here are a few things that I use to help me calm down?
It is important to make time to relax and do activities that are enjoyable. This can help to reduce your anxiety levels by calming the body and mind. It can also help you to sleep. Without taking the time to unwind, it is easy to feel overwhelmed and stressed.
Relaxation can involve doing something that you enjoy, or just being by yourself. Good examples might be reading a book or having a bath. Exercise is also particularly effective at helping us to relax. What you do does not really matter. Try to choose something that you will look forward to and that gives you a break. Doing an activity that you enjoy will also give you less time to spend worrying. Here are a list of activities that might help you to relax.

    • Do some exercise (e.g. swim, cycle)
    • Read a book
    • Watch your favourite TV show
    • Go to the cinema
    • Do something creative (e.g. draw, paint)
    • Visit a friend or family member
    • Have a bath
    Controlled breathing
This simple technique involves focusing on and slowing down our breathing patterns. Many people find this simple exercise very relaxing. It can be particularly helpful for those who feel dizzy or light headed when they feel worried or stressed. This sometimes happens because people's breathing changes and gets quicker when they feel distressed.
This can be an uncomfortable and unpleasant experience. It can make people even more on edge, and a vicious cycle can occur. Learning controlled breathing exercises can help you to manage these feelings more effectively. It can also help to give your mind and body a chance to calm down.
Remember, you can use this exercise to help you relax at any time. You could even use it to help you get off to sleep. However, it is particularly useful if you ever feel light-headed, dizzy or faint.

12 Fashion Life hacks you need to know 😊

Hiiii guys its funny how there are soo many tips and tricks available to us but we just don't know them... That's where this post comes in handy, here are 5 fashion life hacks that saved my life and might save yours 😊Like seriously some of these are insane.
    Hope you likey my post

Spray your tights with hair spray. This reduces the chance of ripping and ladders:)

Fix you suede shoes with a nail file. It release the dirt from the fibers in the shoes. Be sure to rub the shoe very gently with the file!

This is a temporary hack but it will save a buttons life. lol if your button is coming loose wrap the loose sting up then apply some clear nail polish to temporally hold it in place!

So many pairs of gorgeous leather shoes that fade to dullness. Save them with a little of you moisturizer and bring them back to life. This works on leather handbags to!

This is the best when the mental starts to pop out of your favorite bra. just place a plaster over the area to keep it in place and to keep you comfortable!

We've all gotten lipstick or gloss on some fabric of ours. Just immediately spray some hairspray over the area then throw in the wash. the hairspray locks in the oils from the lip products causing it to not bleed into the fabric.

The stupid zipper that always gets stuck. Just apply some vaseline to the area then run the zipper up and down that area a few times. Good as new! This works on all zipper items.

My personal favorite the scuff mark on your beautiful shoe! Don't worry massage a little vaseline to the area with a Q tip the wipe away the excess. Boom, scuff mark gone!

Washing your jeans every time you wear them can cause make the lose their color and shape. The thing that makes them smell is bacteria and you can kill that by putting them in a gallon size zip lock bag and popping them in to the freezer for 5-6 hours, you can even spray them with vodka to makes this even more affective!

Hide your bra straps with a paper clips when wearing razor back shirts. this was the easiest life hack. Just hook the bra straps in the back and poof be gone bra straps! It also lifts the boobs, and nobody can be mad at that lol.

The foundation/powder stain on the shirt we've all been there. Well a little dap of shaving cream can save the day, and the shirt! Just rub some shaving cream on the area immediately then throw it in the wash! It will help remove the stain!

If your shoes smell, fill them with dry tea bags to take out the odor. Extremely handy form gym shoes

Hope these fashion life hacks helped.

    My Winter evening skincare routine...

Winter is here again guys and it is so easy for your skin to get really dry. I have tried lots if different skin care products, some were a complete success and I would totally recommend them to you... I would link all the websites to find the products I used down below.
    Hope you enjoy

After a long day when I have got makeup still on my face I use organic coconut oil to take of all my makeup {you can find it practically anywhere!} I rub a tiny bit all over my face & then with a wash cloth that is damp with warm water I wipe all of it off. This step removes almost 100% of the makeup & my face feels so soft and clean. Coconut oil has also been known to shrink pores, fix fine lines, & it’s a seriously amazing moisturizer.Sometimes if I am feeling lazy I will just take of my makeup with the Neutrogena makeup wipes. The Neutrogena wipes are also one of my favourites this month.

Next I use the Be Fine face scrub with brown sugar in it, the way I use this is I splash my face with some warm water . Then I take a grape size squirt of the scrub, I start working it into my skin and keep on adding splashes of water until the chunks have melted. one I have done this the face scrub should be quiet milky. I then go ahead and rinse it of with warm water. This is good as a cleanser but I use some other cleansing products after.

After I use the  Mary Kay 3 in 1 cleanser this is one of my favourites so far this month and would definitely be in my February favourites. This cleanser cleanses the skin, exfoliates and freshens. I use this on my face but make sure I don't put any round my eye area. After rubbing it into my face I leave it for about 10 minutes then wash it of with hot water and a flannel.

After washing of the 3 in 1 cleanser I use the Nivea soft moisturiser and massage it into my skin, this leaves my skin soft and it smells great. I tend to use quiet a lot where I get dry the most ,for me this is my T zone. I would totally recommend this as I have been using it for so long and my skin feels better.

    250g unsalted butter
    300g icing sugar

Milk – no more than 4 tablespoons
    Blue food colouring
    Dessicated coconut
    Cookies (any brand)
    Chocolate chips

    4. To make the eyes, pipe out two balls of white butter icing (use a baggie with the corner snipped off if you don’t have a pastry bag)

    6. Use a sharp knife to make a cut for the mouth and wedge in your favourite cookie
